RUBBER PADS
Back of heavy duty bolt on pad is same as clamp on type with no tin back. This is more suitable to off road application.
HEAVY DUTY BOLT ON TYPE
STANDARD BOLT ON TYPE
Standard bolt on is with mechanical bonding to a tin backing plate.
Important notes to use and supply:
Rubber pads are never intended for off road use and manufacturers do identify their pads to pavement insulators only.
Also due to supply and demand, stocks are always where it pays to plan ahead.
The standard tin back pad used by most after market manufacturers will delaminate from the tin backing if used in wet sandy or wet soil or clay conditions.
This is caused my the hydraulic pressure of the material being forced through the mud ejection holes of the grouser plate, directly into the bolt cut away holes in the pad and directly to the back of the rubber surface.
Clamp on type pad is stronger due to no tin backing plate and again more suitable to wet mud conditions.
